Colonel Mustard's story
Hi Everyone! My name is Colonel Mustard, but you can just call me "The Colonel"...ha ha. I've had a
pretty rough time of it recently because I was living in a junkyard in Greeley. Then one day, a really nice
man named James came to get me and brought me to FCCRSNC. I heard that James is the Community
Cat Manager for FCCRSNC and he helps LOTS of kitties like me, who are living outdoors. I wasn't sure
about him at first, so I stayed hidden, but he was feeding me and seemed so nice that I decided to trust
him and came out of my hiding place to say hello and get some pets and scratches, which was very nice
indeed. I have decided that I DO like people very much!
Next, I moved to a foster home so that I could learn more about what it was like to live inside a house. I
also had to recover from getting my teeth fixed up, which they are now; I feel much better, thank you. I
really love being an inside kitty! I get to sleep on a nice bed and I get yummy food every single day from
my really nice foster mom and dad...wow! Now, I am loving life!
I really like getting scratches under my chin and curling up and sleeping next to my foster mom. I like to
play too! It is SO nice to not have to worry about something hurting me. Now I just focus on napping in
the sun, eating, and purring for my foster mom and dad. I have decided that I don't like dogs at all
because they scare me. And other cats do too, but I think if I were to be properly introduced, I *might*
be able to learn to trust them.
I would really like to find my forever home now. That will be the final destination of my journey that
started in a junkyard. Would you like to meet me? I'd really like to meet you!
