Marmot Domestic Longhair Kitten Female in Fort Collins, Colorado

My story
I am Marmot, and my brother Pika and I were born outside where a nice lady fed us and our mom until our foster mom caught us in traps and took us inside when we were almost 3 months old. Our mom was fixed and released through the TNR program. Because of how I grew up, I am a super shy girl and will need continued socialization. I am learning that people are pretty cool and most of the time I really like it when they pet me.

My half sister, Guinea Pig, taught Pika and I to sometimes hiss at people, and I have almost broken that habit completely. My foster mom says I am looking for a calm, quiet, patient home that will continue my socialization and understands shy cats. I'm getting more confident by the day, but I still have a way to go. I'd do great in a home with a social cat who wants a little sister, and I've never met any dogs. My foster mom thinks I would do better in a home with no small/young children because I am so shy. I met a few teenagers and loved them, and if you understand shy cats, I'll probably love you too!
